Good rehab needs three things: a plan built around you, someone skilled to guide it and a place to do the work. Here are eight ways Aspire Physio Bangkok supports your rehab goals, from the first assessment to getting back to the things you enjoy.
1. A full assessment before any treatment
Your first consultation is free. A physiotherapist takes your history, watches how you move, tests your strength and range of motion, and explains what they think is driving the problem. You leave knowing what is wrong and what the plan is.
We don’t do X-rays, ultrasound scans or MRI at the clinic. If something in your assessment suggests you need imaging or a doctor’s opinion, we tell you, explain why and point you to the right place.
2. A plan built around you
Two people with the same diagnosis rarely need the same plan. Yours depends on what the assessment finds, your job, your training and what you want to get back to. We set clear goals you can measure, such as climbing stairs without pain, sleeping through the night or running 5 km again, and review them as you progress.
3. Licensed physiotherapists who are also coaches
All three of our physiotherapists are licensed, and two are also qualified strength and conditioning specialists. The physiotherapist who assesses you is the one who treats you, in English or Thai. Because they coach as well as treat, they can take you from the treatment bed to full training without handing you over to someone else.
4. Hands-on treatment to settle pain
Early on, the aim is to calm pain enough for you to move and start loading the injured area. Depending on what we find, treatment can include:
- Manual therapy: joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy, deep tissue and sports massage, and myofascial release.
- Dry needling: fine needles placed into tight, painful trigger points, carried out by a licensed physiotherapist.
- Red light therapy: a 20-minute full-body session of red and near-infrared light on our Energy Lounger.
5. Exercise that deals with the cause
Hands-on treatment eases pain. Strength and control are what keep it away. For most muscle and joint problems, exercise is the treatment with the strongest evidence behind it, so every plan moves from simple corrective exercises to progressive strength work, and then to the movements your work or sport demands.
6. A gym floor in the same building
The clinic and the Aspire Coaching gym are in the same building on Sukhumvit Soi 23. Your physiotherapist can take you from the treatment room to the gym floor in the same session and coach your exercises in person, so you load the injured area with the right technique and progress at the right pace.
7. Regular reassessment
We retest the measures that matter at set points: range of motion, strength, pain during specific tasks and how you are coping day to day. If progress stalls, we change the plan. If anything suggests you need a doctor or a scan, we refer you.
8. Education and a plan for home
You leave each session knowing what we found, what we did and what to do before your next visit. We teach you exercises for home or your own gym, how to adjust your training while you recover, and the warning signs that mean you should check in with us. The aim is to make you independent as soon as it is safe.
Insurance
If you have health insurance, we give you receipts, a consultation report and a treatment plan for your claim. We don’t bill insurers directly. Our physiotherapy insurance guide explains what most insurers ask for.
